Responsibilities include management of technology resources, providing usage reports and identifying procedures. The successful candidate will be part of a helpdesk team providing specialized support services to students, faculty and staff. Requires an Associate degree in a technical or administrative program or equivalent, plus one year of work-related experience in a technical discipline. A general knowledge of networking, operating systems, PC analyzing, and audio/video setup for classrooms and large events preferred. Provide technical backup for network and systems including computer labs, printers, telephone system, file servers, campus website and network firewall. Provide support and trouble shoot user problems with office automation, telecommunications, audio-visual, and/or computer hardware and software. Experience with technology such as audio equipment, wireless microphones, and digital projectors in a higher education setting preferred. Entry level programming with the following software (Visual Studio.NET, Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft ASP.NET, SQL Server, Microsoft scripting, Adobe Premier and Photoshop, Windows Streaming Media, and Web editing) is also desired.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER / WINDOWS SYSTEMS MANAGER

New York City Vacation Packages is a vibrant, growing business focused on selling vacation packages to New York City. We are seeking a unique individual to join our existing team of professionals. We are a Microsoft Technologies operation and are looking for someone who can manage their time between software development and system management. We are a .NET development shop. You will be charged with developing applications in support of our expanding web presence as well as our internal business systems. You must have experience with ASP.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL Server, and SQL. You must understand object oriented architecture and multi-tiered development. Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment is a must. Ideally, you will also have experience with Windows operating systems, Windows Small Business Server, Exchange, and other technologies and various software packages that are required in a business today, such as anti-virus, spam filters, networks, connectivity, etc. You will act as the lead technician in dealing with any issues in this area. Software development experience is a must and this will be the main focus of the job, though the systems responsibilities could grow to be half of your time.
